Update: The Two-Week Goodbye

Out for a bit. See you all soon.

Hey folks. I’m headed for England for two weeks to try and stop a cultist uprising in a London slum.

When I get back I’ll have hopefully finished three scripts, one for a filmaker who wants to do “Snow in November”, one for an artist who want’s to draw a comic, and one for Chris Neir who wants to do another machinima.

I’ll be working on the book a bit as well. I have now officially finished the site. I just need to go over it with the client before I can share it with all of youse guys.

When I get back I’ll probably be filming a full band cover of “Limelight” by Rush, taking recordings of all of Canistel’s covers, and filming about thirty segments called “Minute of Metal” where Canistel jams on video for a minute.

See you soon.

Peace.

Project Update July 10, 2010

Update on what I’m working on behind the scenes.

Hey folks,

I hope you enjoyed “Lilac Park“.  As most of you know, a lot of the stuff I’m working on are larger projects, so you won’t be seeing them for some time. As far as the website goes, I had technically finished it, only to find out that there were some very necissary changes to be made. I set my deadline for the fifteenth. Then you will all get to see the fruits of my first paid web-design project eva. :D

I’m still working on a comic script for an artist, although we’ll have to see how our schedules look this upcoming year.

I’m working on a script version of “Snow in November” for a film-maker who’s interested in trying it out.

I’m working on a script version of the first few pages of the book for Chris Neir.

Then of course, there’s the book.

So I’m busy.

Anyway. Hit me up on the contact page if you have questions or requests. I like requests.

Peace.

Update July 2, 2010

Quickie about what I’m working on, and why you’ve seen less of me recently.

Hey!

The website is almost done, and by almost done, I mean I just have to slap up a nice looking home page and it’ll be good to go. I’ll put up a nice, fancy featured post on the banner on the main page in honor of it. I’ve been hard at work on that for a long time, and it’s been quite the experience. More web design work than I put into this site and that is saying something. It was definitely a 40 – 50 hour project, and that doesn’t count what hours were spent taking Facebook breaks.

I’ve also been working on SoaMW, which is my acronym for Signature of a Motorized World, my up and coming book! It’s not anywhere near done, but I’ve been moving into part two this past week since I finished editing the first half of the book.

I also have a short story in the works based off the ficly “Lilac Park and Grey Snow” which can be found after the jump. I think if I do this story well, it could be a really excellent example of my writing. We’ll see. Someone recommended that I turn one of my ficly’s into a short film. As of right now, that isn’t a top priority of mine, so I won’t be going around to production groups with scripts quite yet, but if anyone happens to have a camera, go for it! Just send me an email ;D

This is also the first post to this site from my new college laptop. Ithaca College, anyone?

Update 5-30-10

Just a quick note.

Hey, hey.

I’ve been missing in action for a few days due to sickness and then a series of very busy, and very pleasant, evenings. I’m still working on a bunch of different projects, and the most recent short story (which had been locked for a while after its release) is now good for checking out.

No material to be posted today, but soon, I’m sure. Larger projects have kept me from doing the smaller, more frequent bits that are usually a staple of this site.

WordPress as a CMS/ Short Story

Notice about an upcoming project.

Hey ladies and gents,

1.) I’ve been asked to create a site by a small business in town with which I have personal ties. It’s a bit of a daunting task because the entirety of my web-design experience is isolated to an 18 month period between now and December of ’08. The other thing is that I’ve been using WordPress all that time. WordPress is software that you can opt to install on your server, and it offers a slew of easy ways to create nice looking sites, but more often then not, it is used for portfolios, blogs, and creative media sites like mine.

This business needs a Content Management System, which is a verbose way of referring to an online catalog, but because I’m very limited to WordPress in a lot of ways, I have to find a way of applying that software to the needs of the business. I’ve got an idea. I’ll update you all and provide links to the site as the project nears completion, and of course, after the business has given it the OK.

2.) Short story on the way. It’s a longer version of my first ficly. I’ll be making shorts stories of all my ficlys. Should be good to go by Wednesday or Thursday.

3.) Trying to get footage of Canistel’s performance last Friday for the write-up I’m planning.

That’s all the news folks, thanks for reading.

Project Update 5-13-2010

An update on the projects I am working on.

Hey ladies and gents,

I hesitate to post too many “updates” becuase the real purpose of this site is to post the media itself, but here goes:

I’m working with a comic artist right now drafting a 3-day a week serial.

I am also busy with another Halo comic, 17 pages of which are done.

I’ve just finished cleaning up the first half of SoaMW (the book I’m working on). Now I have to go back and type up all those penned-in changes.

and I’m also busy writing a short story which should be out within the week.

Canistel performances this friday and next!
