Progressive metal on our last day.

Well. It’s kind of sad. Canistel is over at this point, as we’re all ready to leave for our respective colleges in a matter of one or two weeks.

On our last day we got together with a bunch of extra people to play some incredibly challenging music. This is what happened.

I’ve got the third and fourth songs in the Willing Well suite on the way as well as several other covers.

Canistel Rehersal Recordings

HAY GUISE. I’ve got two songs here. A cover of Atreyu’s “An Interlude” and Coheed and Cambria’s “In Keeping”. Starring Nick Petromilli on Bass, Nick Farago on Guitar, Dan Siew on Guitar and Vocals, and yours truly, Adam Susskind on Drums.

I think they could be better, but given the single mic that we used to record the whole band, and the fact that, like an ass, I left it on high sensitivity, it’s pretty impressive. Mistakes here and there, haters be damned though, because we’re trying. I’ve got a drum solo on the first song around 6:00 minutes in. The vocals are great live, but we recorded the voice through a small amp as we were playing, so it doesn’t sound perfect. I think the second song is a better recording.

Anyway, Enjoy! Like or not, you gotta leave a comment. That’s the rule. ;D
